Ivy Mak is an
actor, writer and producer. Most recently she developed and produced the 8 x half
hour TV series SWIFT STREET created by Tig Terera, with Lois Randall at Magpie
Pictures for SBS. Ivy has previously worked in development and production on
scripted projects for Essential Media and Entertainment, Easy Tiger and Beyond
Entertainment. She has written and produced short films and webseries that have
screened at festivals worldwide including NYC Webfest, die Seriale 2020, and
won awards at Asia Web Awards 2019 and Oniros Film Awards 2020 for SYDNEY
SLEUTHERS created by Joanna Beveridge.
As
an actor, she has a lead role in feature film CARELESS LOVE, and support roles
in THE DAUGHTER, THE HOME SONG STORIES and SLEEPING BEAUTY. Recent TV credits
include JACK IRISH (ABC TV), JANET KING (ABC TV) and THE GLOAMING (Stan/ ABC
Studios). Ivy is passionate about telling stories from unique and
under-represented demographics in an exciting and entertaining way.
Ivy’s writing include
stage play THE
QUIET BROTHER was nominated for a community theatre AWGIE and she is currently
co-writing the horror feature film MATRIARCH.
